The Heartbeat of the Earth
As I attune to the heartbeat of the earth–
slow, steady, unhurried,
drumming to an ancient rhythm
that pulses through the millennia—
layers of tension begin to slough off,
and the frenetic thrum of urgency
slowly dissipates.
