Lower Case Reality
In this lower-case reality
Panic and chaos prevail.
The mind looks for a reason
A way to right the wrongs,
And, failing,
It reverts to worrying
And future
Fear-mongering
Clinging to how things
Should’ve been
we create so much
more suffering
than the current reality
already begets
I hang onto a thin filament
Of wisdom
That leads me
To an Upper Case Reality
Where everything is calm–
The eye of the storm.
Where the universe
And our souls,
Seeking awakening,
Are holding our minds
To the fire
Of our hubris
Reminding us that
Everything is
Exactly as it is
There is no other way
