Unhookable
Oh, to be unhookable –
From temptation
From triggers
From the tenterhooks
Of impotent rage;
From the draw
Of tantalizing distractions,
The need to defend
The urge to hide.
May I be clear
May I feel ease
May I be joyful and light
May I know the depths
Of my capacity for peace
May I allow life
To flow through my being
Like water
Eddying around rocks
